The Last Word Cocktail is a classic created during prohibition. It was unearthed by Murray Stenson, former bartender at Zig Zag Café in Seattle. This twist adds a bit of an "herbacious" note with a bit of toasted thyme.
3/4 oz gin
3/4 Green Chartreuse (more for flame)
3/4 oz Maraschino Liqueur
3/4 oz lime juice
Add sprigs of thyme to mixing glass.
Flame Chartreuse into mixing glass.
Add ice to extinguish flame.
Add all other ingredients and shake.
Strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with cherry.
