How to Fillet Fish Properly

Being able to fillet a fish properly is an essential cooking skill. Sure, you could hack at it with a knife, but why not do it with some skill and confidence? Get a couple of fish and practice!

Instructions

Bring the knife all the way along the back bone to the tail, keeping the blade as close to the spine as possible.

Remove the fillet.

Trim skin from the fillet.
