How to Make Clear Ice
Totally clear ice in cocktails is an impressive sight, especially at home. There are very few options to get clear ice at home. You can buy it or you can make it. Buying it usually requires a visit to your local ice sculpture supply place. I bought all of the materials I use in my video for about $12. There are products on the market that make clear ice using the directional freezing method, but they don't make as much as this and they don't cost $12. You can also use a cooler with the lid removed.
Insulate a container on the sides and bottom.
Place in freezer.
Remove the container from the freezer before it has frozen entirely. All of the ice should be clear.
