Perfect Jasmine Rice: All the Secrets
Jet Tila has the simple, but secret, tricks to making perfect rice every time. Once you learn these tricks, you will be banging out rice every meal. He is using Jasmine rice, the work horse of rice from Thailand.
Rinse rice in water at least 3-4 times. Until the water is no longer cloudy.
Drain water from rice and add the rice to the pot.
Fill pot with clean water. With the tip of your index finger touching the top of the rice, fill until the water reaches the first joint in your finger.
Bring water to a rolling boil, then reduce to a simmer.
Cook the rice for about 20-25 minutes.
Turn the heat off and let the rice rest for 20 minutes.
Before serving, fluff the rice.
