The Jungle Bird Cocktail

The Jungle bird is a cocktail that closely resembles a piña colada without the coconut cream. Both sour and sweet and only a single rum spirit, we used Cruzan Dark Rum. This cocktail is simple to make, fits great for pool parties and has a delicate balance of sweet and sour with a sweet pineapple forward flavor and a dry tart finish. It’s like a tropical mullet. Nice straight forward drink with an easy build but tasty just the same.

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz. Cruzan Aged Dark Rum

1 1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice

1/2 oz. Simple Syrup

1/2 oz. Lime Juice

Agreed…could use a bit more pineapple juice as well.
