During Prohibition in America, many American bartenders travelled abroad to ply their trade. One of the most well known to make the journey across the pond was Harry Craddock. While working at the American Bar in the Savoy Hotel in London, Harry created the White Lady cocktail which remains one of Charlotte's favorite cocktails from that era. Here, she shakes up a modern interpretation of this classic cocktail.

To heighten those particular notes, she adds a few dashes of coffee bitters. *Remember, great cocktails start with measuring responsibly.*
Sponsored: New Spanish Style Gin and Tonic
6 Jan 15 1
In Spain, gin and tonic cocktails are served up in wine glasses. This style of serving is not necessarily anything new. In this episode, Charlotte builds a delicious cocktail and chooses garnishes that best represent the base spirit while also creating a proper drinking experience.

Adding herbs to cocktails is nothing new. Herbs enhance and augment flavors inherent in many base spirits. They are especially apt ingredients in cocktails using gin and tequila. The most popular cocktail in America is the Margarita. Making one is simple. Creating a special Margarita is just as easy. The swizzle is a classification of a cocktail. "Rum swizzles" have been mentioned in literature since the late 18th century and originated, like many rum drinks, in the caribbean. Instead of shaking or stirring a swizzle, the drink is, well, "swizzled" with a special stick made from the Quararibea turbinata tree. If you don't have access to the authentic version, a bar spoon will do the trick.

Similar to the French 75 Cocktail, the traditional Airmail Cocktail is rum based and uses honey as a sweetener and lime juice instead of lemon. Arguably, the Airmail could also be thought of as a sparkling Daiquiri.
