Do you notice any problems with over-extraction? If so, what’s the upper limit of the infusion, both in terms of time and amount of spice?

I’m very curious what the other cocktails in the 1934 Esquire top ten are. Also, I gleaned that the same issue of Esquire had a ‘ten worst’ list that included the Clover Club.

I was wondering if you could freeze aliquots of vermouth as a way of storing them longer? Generally I’ve heard of freezing juice or herbs to good effect, but I wonder if the freezing and thawing might negatively affect the flavors and aromas?
